The Path Forward

- Diversified Success

Mission statement

Wind Enairgy’s mission is to provide clean, reliable, and cost-effective power for communities across Canada and the globe. Our scalable technology can provide green electricity to areas where conventional wind turbines are not economically viable. Our primary objective is to accelerate the world’s adoption of renewable energy.

The Missing Middle

Our goal is to manufacture a next-generation wind turbine that fills the gap between these two markets.

A high capacity factor for low wind speeds and a significantly smaller physical profile make our unique technology capable of avoiding the drawbacks associated with both markets.

The Best of Both Worlds

Our innovative technology unlocks higher energy efficiencies while minimizing the size of the wind turbine rotor and lowering the average wind speeds required for cost-effective energy production. Our goal is to provide a wind turbine that can be used for off-grid power by reducing the costs and challenges associated with the installation of larger wind turbines. Generating substantial amounts of green electricity at lower average annual wind speeds greatly increases our technology’s range of economically viable locations.

Delivering a wind turbine that can be easily installed in areas with low wind speeds improves our technology’s competitiveness and versatility. The higher efficiency of our design ensures it will be capable of deployment in large numbers to provide utility-scale generation with a competitive levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). Also, the compact physical profile and significant power generation capacity of our wind turbines will minimize regulatory hurdles.

Diversified Success

Wind Enairgy is continuously improving its next-generation wind turbine to address a variety of challenges facing wind energy adoption. Our innovative approach to engineering design ensures that our technology will produce the lowest cost per kWh of renewable electricity.

Installation

Current wind energy technologies require sizable investments in transportation infrastructure and planning for the construction of wind farms, primarily as a result of blade size.

Our wind turbine’s compact size, due to its higher power density, allows us to avoid the difficulties associated with the transportation and assembly of enormous components.

Maintenance

The combination of a smaller total profile per kW and smaller major components means that standard maintenance and repairs are less expensive and safer to perform.

Combined with the ease of installation our wind turbines can be quickly and efficiently repaired, even in off-grid locations where logistics currently limit wind power’s viability.

Geographic Independence

When we combine the ease of installation and maintenance with our wind turbine's ability to operate at lower-than-average wind speeds, we can greatly increase the range of locations where power generation is viable.

This gives us a considerable competitive advantage since we can open up many key regions that currently cannot make cost-effective use of lower wind speeds.

High-capacity Factor

Our wind turbine takes advantage of unique aerodynamics to achieve uncommonly high-power generation for low wind speeds. This is critical to achieving utility-scale levels of efficiency despite a smaller physical profile and highly reliable operation at lower wind speeds.

Sustainable Life Cycle

Our unique rotor geometry allows the blades to be manufactured in a radically different manner than conventional blades. As a result, our rotor blades will be both durable and 100% recyclable.

Canadian Energy

The Canadian government has set a goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. This will require large-scale investment into viable alternative sources of clean energy, such as wind energy, as we move away from fossil fuels. The regulatory environment across levels of government has been streamlined over the last decade, making wind energy systems an obvious choice for clean electricity production across the country.

The federal government is also seeking to move many northern and remote communities away from fossil fuels towards sustainable sources.  Our company is optimally positioned to take advantage of this shift as a result of its focus on ensuring that our wind turbines are capable of off-grid installation and modular expansion. We’re proud of our Canadian heritage and all of our employees are Canadian. We plan to become a staple of Canadian clean power production and technological innovation.
